Campaign
Campaign
Campaigning is a tool to spread information and raise awareness, to increase concern and initiate action by the target audience. Campaigning can also be seen as a policy advocacy tool to create public pressure on key actors, e.g. researchers/scientists, mass media, and policy makers.
With the impacts of climate change happening here, globally, now and in the future, everyone needs to be part of the solution. Through campaigning and promoting positive options as a fashionable new trend, people can choose to act either by changing their lifestyle or other ways to adapt to climate change.
Campaign Goals
Cut human-induced Green House Gas (GHG) emissions by promoting green lifestyles (low carbon behaviour/smart and responsible consumption) among the public and creating public pressure on direct/indirect key actors (corporate & GoI) to act against climate change.
Campaign
Earth Hour
is a global climate change initiative which calls on individuals and businesses around the world, to turn off their lights for one hour on Saturday, March 28 2009 between 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm.
