As WWF recognizes that the role of good regulation is critical to both addressing market failure and driving transformation of business practice, WWF actively engages with business to deliver results that advance WWF’s mission & our corporate partners business sustainability.

Therefore, in support of WWF conservation efforts, whether locally or internationally, WWF-Indonesia’s Corporate Engagement Unit is a dedicated Network Services unit, providing leadership and coordination on business engagement, as well as capacity building, industry expertise and advisory and support services for business engagement.

Challenges
Corporate Engagement Unit is challenged to find and promote the right balance between environment conservation efforts and economic sustainability.

Our Solution & What We Do
WWF-Indonesia engages in collaborations with corporations, whether individually or a multi-stakeholders forum, to adopt ways that promote environment conservation and community livelihood sustainability. WWF believes that working together with the business and industry sectors - and other corporations - is one of the keys for market-transformation, a lever for changing domestic and international law and for adopting and promoting sector-wide shifts to sustainable development and corporate best practice.

WWF’s engagement with business is construed around three mutually reinforcing pillars:

• Outreach and Communicating the Issues and Solution

We also work together on how each company can perform better in green terms, which will eventually provide a positive feedback to each company’s triple bottom line items. Each partnership is unique and based on WWF and the company’s vision, background and needs. Hence, each potential collaboration is handled on case-by-case basis.

Where We Work
WWF-Indonesia Corporate Engagement Unit works in WWF-Indonesia’s conservation project-focused area, to support WWF core programs’ work that are located in Sumatra, Kalimantan, Nusa Tenggara, Papua & Coral Triangle region.
